so basically i'm applying for medicine, and was originally applying for ucl, kings, birmingham and leeds. i have decent grades, so those seemed appropriate.

but today had a talk from 2 old boys of my school who are at oxford, one of which is doing medicine. i was unsure to begin with about applying to oxford, so i initially decided against it. but during this talk i told him that im really not sure, and that i think it would be a waste of a choice. he said he thought that, but he went for it anyway. he also said that if you have the grades, you most definitely should apply.

i really dont know what to do, as applying to 2 bmat uni's is quite risky. and oxford, ucl, kings and birmingham are all good unis, and im not sure whether they are out of my reach, and whether i should just leave oxford and have a kind of back up, if there ever was one for medicine.

    any advice would be appreciated.

oh yeh and my grades were 10 a* and 3 a's at gcse, and i got 5 a's at AS level, so pretty much a standard medicine applicant i would have thought.
