Basically I got some homework, and I don't understand it. I would've asked the teacher for help, but it's due for tomorrow and he will shout because I didn't go before.
If anybody could tell me the bottom line I'd be grateful, if you can I have more I'd like help with!

Covalent Bonding: sharing of a pair of electrons to obtain a full outer shell
Ionic bonding: transfer of electrons from a metal atom to a non-metal atom. All atoms end up with a full shell. Results in the formation of charged Ions.

Metal + Metal = Metallic Bonding
    Metal + Non-Metal = Ionic Bonding
    Non-Metal + Non-Metal = Covalent

    e.g. Covalent Bonding: NH3 =

Ionic Bonding: Na + Cl -> NaCl (Na+ Cl-)
