he kinda has a point y'know

http://www.elle.com/life-love/sex-relationships/news/a15492/women-like-men-their-age-men-only-like-20-year-olds-mc/

the stats originate from Okcupid

http://ell.h-cdn.co/assets/cm/15/01/54a798c431afb_-_nrm_1410470492-mens-age-versus-women2.jpg

I did see some other statistics a few years ago which showed a womans market value is highest at age 20, and then slowly declines, before really accelerating after 30

and a man market value peaks at about age 28, and then slowly declines

by market value I mean the percentage of the population who will typically consider/be receptive to that individual as a possible partner

I would agree with the stats tbh, If you are female and 23+ you've probably already reached your peak in terms of beauty ..and definitely already reached your peak in terms of market value

I would really question that validity of stats from OKCUPID. It hardly speaks for the whole population. Plus the interpretation of those stats was written by the founder of the website who isn't a sociologist or psychologist. It's very easy to read what you want into these things.

If you're attractive are you going to use/need a service like that?

The idea of people having a 'market value' is disturbing. I would note that most females in media modelling etc seem to be in their early 20's which would suggest that they 'sell' to their demographic but this doesn't appear to be reflected in real life statistics which show that first pregnancies tend to be at 27 and marriages in early 30s (England 2013).

So what you're basically saying is online dating websites are just full of undesirables? ...ouch......

disturbing but true imo

A persons market value is a combination of factors such as Sex/height/age/attractiveness/race/ [yes, somewhat controversial I know, but many people have "preferences" and even exclude other people on the basis of race]

men age like wine. Women age like milk.

Tbf, cheese is pretty tasty.

The fact that the average age of first pregnancy (currently 27 I believe in the Uk) and age of marriage (34 for women in 2013 in England) are getting pushed back further and further would dispute this as well.

If people aren't marrying or making babies till they're older that would suggest that their peak attractiveness was later than their early 20's. (Given that they're clearly either getting laid or proposed to in their mid to late 20s - 30's)

Nah that is completely seperate.
A girl in her 16-25 is the most attractive, however they are not focused on having children at that time for example.
Some guys pay millions for a girl thats hot,18 and a virgin.
No guy pays for a girls that 35 and a virgin etc.
Neither do girls pay for guys who are 18, hot and a virgin.

Not sure too many women are virgins at 35. Plenty of 18 year old ones, though.

How do explain those female teachers having sex with boy students then?
The transfer of money for sex with an 18 year old virgin is not widespread though. It's not indicative of society at large.

The parliamentary report on sex workers suggests that most enter the profession between the ages of 20-24.

I think you'd be surprised at the standards of men when it comes to sex workers. You only have to read the Punting websites to realise that these women being detailed are not the 'Page 3 '18 year old nymphettes of the popular imagination.

What are they actually like?
That's exactly what I've noticed!

In the nicest way possible - they are by and large just average women. Not amazingly well kept to porn star standards. Just women getting on in life. Some trying to support their families. Some with drug issues. Some from overseas trying to send money home.

There's a lot of reports of men responding to adverts with 'Blonde Bombshells'... to be met by dowdy mothers of 2.

(FYI: I don't frequent these forums- It was for a research project on the psychologies of the sex industry)

In saying that, it doesn't usually stop them. They'll go ahead anyway and then after try and argue down the price.

It was horrible stuff to read.
It's true tbh, I don't even need to try in nightclubs anymore.
of course,I worry about it a lot eventhough I`m in my late teens
I wish this were true tbh
No, male attractiveness remains stable until around 40, then it goes downhill.

I find some 30 year old women to be pretty hot. Late 40s- not so much.

most guys on TSR prefer a hot 27 year old to a haggish 21 year old

That's very surprising. Although women mature faster, but most 21 year old girls are still immature as f**k. Some of them look more womanly, but that's the 1 percent.

A 27 year old has a lot more to offer in every way and probably has a more mature body (in a good way). A lot of 21 year olds are still children.
Old thread, but...

Some truth to it, though as cynical as I can be I try to avoid establishing this as my mindset. Even if correct from a biological standpoint, knowing that women may eventually find me attractive for my "resources" just irks me. Still, it makes sense. Men generally get more confident and mature with age, and as a result reap the benefits. Women clearly find younger men attractive because plenty of people get laid / dates in their youth. Likewise, mature women can quite easily find dates / sex / love as they get older.

Nothing's set in stone.
I'm not a commodity so the reasoning is rubbish!!!!
Lmao I'm 22 and pull loads of guys younger than I am, explain that OP
