Current average electric price /kwh watch

Can anyone tell me roughly what the price of a kwh unit of electricity is at the moment?

We have just got one of those 'electric monitors' and the price is set at 12p but I have no idea if this is right or not. British gas don't have the actual price they charge anywhere, only examples for an average house...

We are on a standard electric package with the cheaper night time rate if that helps, we also get an online discount but I think that's just a bill discount, rather than affecting the price per unit.

Really I just want to know if 12p is right or if it's way off so I can set the monitor up! I can't use past bills to calculate it because the price has just gone up so much and we have only just moved in.

    Thanks in advance!
