Everything there seems pretty strong and in combination with a good PS will be a winning application. But, like you say the lack of Biology at AS or A2 will be a problem. Take a look at this http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki...l_Requirements for the schools which do not require Biology. If you unfortunatley don't get in this time and decide to apply again it may be a good idea to look into doing an AS Biology course, you obviously have the skills to do very well in it. Good luck.

Thanks for that, I've looked into doing a Fast-track Biology course and this wont be accepted as it is outside of the 2 year period. I even considered taking up as biol in my a2 year but already tackling 4 alevels i felt it would be a risk (i had not expected to get the grades i did, i thought id be looking at AAB med schools - nobody from my school applied for medicine, i dont go to the best of schools however it is not that bad that i get special consideration.. just a small school in a small welsh town)

Id say my weakest point is my personal statement, i feel like i have the content but i dont know how to maximise the effect of it in words . I doubt id be able to take yet another gap year, this is my 2nd and possibly last shot at undergraduate medicine. Do you have any advice for writing my personal statement to enhance what i have got?

I'm no expert, but try and catch the readers attention right at the beginning with a personal story about a patient or someone else you have met on placement and how the experience affected you. Make it precise and aim to do this in 3 or 4 lines.

Other than that, just apply wise and I wish you the best of luck.
