Which university would you chose for a Msc ?

I would tend to chose KCL, because of its location, but I've read some good things about Nottingham & Bristol as well.

I'm not aiming at any top IB (i.e. GS, CS etc...), I'd be fine with a tier 2 IB (BNP Paribas for example).

It's a quite complicated choice, because none of these universities is an obvious choice.

I would choose KCL or Bristol.

By the way, "tier two" banks are still very, very competitive to get internship offers at. Don't underestimate the level of competition this year

Interesting thread. Based on the 2011 spring weeks and university break down of who got in from which university, it would suggest that Durham is the best choice, followed by Nottingham and then Bristol if i remember correctly.

The thread seems to be centered around the 'best of the rest' after the big 6 targets. Durham and Nottingham are the most successful outside of these. I don't know why OP has Nottingham, Bristol and KCL but no Durham there (probably his offers i expect), and the group 3 thing is wrong because Nottingham was the 8th most successful uni at the spring week stage last year; it's easily a semi target with Durham; KCL and Bristol are more dubious taking last years statistics.

If you go through the whole spring weeks thread from last year then near the end people who completed weeks posted the university breakdown from their week. We got about half of the weeks down i would estimate (of course, some of the weeks would have had no-one from tsr on them) and it ended up something like this:

    Oxford - 80
    LSE - 75
    Cambridge - 70
    Warwick - 55
    UCL - 45
    Imperial - 30
    Durham - 20
    Notts - 15
    Bristol - 10

than the rest were like single digits around the 5 and below mark i think; this is if i'm remembering right. I was in the thread so added up as it went; couldn't be bothered to keep the stats though cause i'm stuck at the uni i'm at and i know how good it is without stats.
