Carbs with sugars is bad idea. Makes you fat.

Try the atkins diet if youre trying to lose weight. Thats all meat (protein).

Nope not trying to lose weight, just i think carbohydrates makin me feel all sleepy durin the afternoon if i eat lunch?

carbohydrates are energy, so no.
depends on whether you eat refined carbs or carbs like wholemeal bread/pasta/noodles etc.
White bread, pasties, cakes etc will give you an energy high as your blood sugar increases rapidly, and you will then get an energy slump as your blood sugar falls again. Something to do with the (much lauded at the moment :rolleyes: ) GI index i think.
to avoid feeling sleepy in the afternoon eat slow release carbs (like i mentioned above) with some protein like fish or chicken.

sometimes it helps to split what you would have had for lunch into a smaller meal then and a snack mid afternoon as well.
