Sleeping disorder

Just recently I have been waking up at around 04:00 am and about 10 minutes before my alarm is due to go off, I find this incredibly annoying and sometimes in the weekend I wake every up every 2-3 hours or so is this a disorder , as one of my friends said it may be if it persists.
Or is it because I am not sleeping in my own room as the upstairs part of our house extension is happening in there and I am sleeping on my matress on my youngest brothers' floor?
I don't think it's a disorder. I think you know the cause of the problem and the solution already - the house extension and renovation, as you're not sleeping in your own bed. Anyhows, I'm sure you'll get back to normal once you're back in your own bed (so long as the problem has only become emminent since the start of the renovation work).

theres many things which can contribute to regular waking up.

It is entirely normal to wake up a few minutes before your alarm is set everyday, this is simpley your body keeping its regular pattern and happens to everyone who uses an alarm frequently.

There could be a few things - where you're sleeping at the moment, having eaten anything just before you're slept, hunger, if you need the loo - etc.

Hopefully it'll be better once the renovation/extention work is done - maybe have a nice long relaxing bath in the meantime

I wish! I set an alarm every day and I don't even wake up AFTER it's gone off!

To the OP - does sound as though it might be caused by disruption in your sleeping habits because of the renovation - I sometimes don't sleep well in a strange bed, and also it might be difficult to do your normal bedtime routine, which might contribute to your sleeping well, in your brother's room (e.g. if you like to read a lot before going to sleep and you can't because he wants to sleep right away, or if he goes to bed before you and you have to sneak in and be quiet.)

i always wake up at really convenient times like exactly on the hour or 2 minutes before my alarm is due to go off or something. i think it is a good internal body clock. 4 am is a stupid time to get up tho, so yours must be a little... off. or you are anxious about something. sometimes your subconcious feelings can get out when you sleep/dream

I dont think its a Disorder, its most likely due to you sleeping in another bed right now.
Im sure you will of noticed your sleeping pattern has likely changed since you started sleeping in the other room
oh god i get those all the time. theyre just annoying phases that will pass in their own time. but it is SO irritating, i know exactly what u mean!!!! keep your windows open in the day for a bit to let fresh air in and have a hot drink before bed, it might help u relax and sleep through the night. but try not to worry about it because im certain it will pass!
