What to wear at a healthcare interview

ive got a few interviews lined up for diag radiography, and something ive noticed is people are beggining to go more and more casual, i mean a friend of mine who went for a medicine interview at queen marys said he saw people wearing jeans at the interview and well i ve always thought an interview was a shirt tie ocassion. people are always saying smart /causual but it seems to be more casual than smart. where are the boundaries?? right now im not sure that if i go smart i may look out of place. Any suggestions/ experiances?

Ive been to two interviews for different health courses I wore blouse and jumper with black trousers on both occasions but one I went to a girl was wearing jeans and a top - neither of which were very formal.

I would go with smart trousers, shirt and tie without the jacket.

I agree - you don't have to be overly smart - don't need a 3 piece suit or anything! As LittleMiss said, just a smart pair of trousers and a shirt should do it

I wore jeans at all my interviews and got offers at them all. i think it doesn't really matter as long as you are smart-casual. jeans and a shirt etc etc, or pants and a fitted tee.
There not relly there to judge you like that anyway, i am sure that they will try not to let your appearance influence their judgement about your suitability too much.

Personally .. i think that you can never look too smart for an interview. the interviewers can take your dress into consideration and could think " do we really want a scruffbag looking after patients?!" not saying your a scruffbag or anything lol.. hope you get what i mean

anyway, best of luck x
wot about 4 the girls? id feel a bit overdressd in a shirt,is it ok 2 where a tshirt?
