I think each one of us has a fear similiar to yours. If you think that's a bad fear, it isn't really if you put it into perspective - knifes are dangerous but only used in the incorrect manner. People get scared of all sorts of strange things like balloons, chewing and heinz baked beans - I kid you not. Yes, knifes can have destructive power, but you must wave this fear or else it will begin to affect you.

I have a strong aversion and fear of injections. But this spans from when I was younger (my father is diabetic and used to inject himself infront of me). As a consequence I haven't had my TB vaccination, meningitis C, dipetheria injections. But I'm starting to grow out of it, and I may schedule to have my meningitis C after I had a scare last year at Uni. So don't worry, people are going through the same thing!

thanks for your solidarity.. i find rock eleven's sense of humour deeply unfunny.. yeah i've always had a bit of a fear of knifes but it was magnified greatly due to recent events (the person involved was murdered) although i think i should be getting past this now as i didnt know them v well.. i forgot about it quite a lot last term but i kept getting stressed with exams recently and been shut up in my room revising and started thinking about stuff.

i dont mind injections although my grandad used to have the needles hanging around sometimes - as he used to treat animals and that freaked me out a little but not majorly..

this is going to sound really weird but i have an intense fear of knives.. and sharp blades in general.. and i sort of have a vision of me going crazy and slitting my throat when i hold a sharp one.. probably as someone i knew died this way a few months ago.. it just makes me feel really scared and insecure and i am very aware of their destructive power :frown:

Awwww...that sounds really horrible :frown:

I know somebody with a phobia of cups in saucers.
