Ok, I met this girl one time at a Party. I'm a post-grad researching mathematics, she's a post-grad researching stats. So we both work in the same building. I chatted to her for hours and I quite liked her, she seemed really nice. So I went round her office and asked her if she wanted to go for lunch, she said she'd already eaten.

So I went back and asked again a couple of days later and she said she wasn't really hungry. I dunno I quite like her. I met her again at a party and we chatted some more. She was kinda drunk though, and these Indian guys were all over her sometimes. Which I didn't like at all.

Anyways, I'm feeling a bit confused, can anyone help me?

I don't think she's interested in you, she seems to be making excuses for not going out to lunch with you...but then again I could be wrong. Next time, when your at a party and she's there, you should tell her how you feel about her and show that you're interested in her then see what she has to say about it...she'll probably be flattered...

Is she working in her office when you go over? You should try and approach at the right time when she's not working or havn't had lunch yet.

She was probably just being friendly. I really didn't like the way those indian guys were all over her though. I mean she was drunk, that's taking advantage a little bit.

What you probably need to do is just ignore her a little. Definitely stop asking her out for lunch. Go to that party she invited you to, say hi and then talk to other people for the rest of the time. Make her chase you instead, if she's interested. :smile:
