New Girl on the scene

Well I've known this girl for years but only just started to get to know her properly, we went on a date to the cinema with some mates aswell (her idea). We ended up holding hands but that was it. She said she had a good time but I sent her a text and she never replied to it. I've lost the instruction booklet that she came with, so I don't know what this means. What should I do next?

Give her a call, and ask her if she'd like to go out for a drink (or to the cinema or whatever, seeing as i don't know how old you are), but don't mention the fact that she didnt text you back. Just play it cool.

Well if you're going to see her at school on Monday then play it cool there and try to do some research (if you've got mates you can trust) to see if she said anything. Then as long as she said nothing bad, tell her you really enjoyed your night and ask whether she'd like to go somewhere different next weekend, your treat.

As long as the text didn't say anything that would make her not want to text back, then you can assume she either didn't get it (which is fair enough), or she's playing hard to get. Either way, yeah you should play it cool.

Very true!

You have to think that maybe she has no credit, her phone is broken / has been stolen, she's had problems at home... and so on. It is almost certain to be something innocent, because it seems from what you told us that she definitely liked you. There is always the chance that she has had a change of heart, but I reckon that's unlikely. So basically, don't jump to any conclusions (yet) :biggrin:
