tingly hand

Right everyso often the last two fingers on my left hand seem to go numb.. well not completely numb, they seem to tingle, and it is quite a wierd feeling..
I had this quite a lot over xmas and my mum was a little worried.. when i was on my 7 day break from the pill its seemed to go off, atm it feels ok..

The doctor swapped me onto a different pill a while ago.. could this be the reason??

okay i know this thread seems a little wierd.. thanks xx

I have the same thing in my left hand. Mine is nothing serious, just a chronic nerve entrapment (of the ulnar nerve, which sensation from the little/ring finger travels down) at the elbow, and is just caused by very slight abnormality of the bones there - effectively similar to carpal tunnel syndrome, but affecting a different nerve.

I had it assessed as it was starting to bother me, and tended to coincide with my migraines - but I was reassured that it is nothing sinister.

I am not sure whether the pill could cause this, but the most common cause is what I have. But if it is bothering/worrying you, it can do no harm to get it checked by your GP

I'd be surprised if it was to do with the pill. Sounds a bit like trapped/compressed ulnar nerve to me.

I compressed my ulnar nerve myself for months by sitting at the computer with my chin in my hand and the back of my elbow on the desk. The desk pressed it hard into the ulnar groove with the result that the side of my left hand spent a lot of time tingly and numb.

Thats made me well paranoid now! I've been sat revising at my desk with my elbows on it for the past 3/4 weeks now. I'm not sure if it hurting yet, but cos i've got the thought planted in my head, its playing tricks on me. :hmmmm:
Yeah, I've had that. I've posted about this before- it was only a psychological thing. I felt my hand tingling, and I began to worry about it. Then I started concentrating on it, and it got worse. Try to forget about it and it will probably go away.
