You're probably pregnant.

Now bake for 9 months and hmmm that's good Billy.

maybe go to the docs tomorrow... might be a little daunting but probably a lot more reliable if you explain to them about this test - good luck ! xxx

Daveo why did you delete my message? Judging from the way she took it it wasn't offensive to her nor was it intended too.

A little humour into a suspenseful situation can lighten it up...

sithius wat has thta got to do with anything! i dont know if i could get an appioitment jsut like that could i?

The only way you're going to clear this up is by doing another test. You could either go to a family planning clinic or your GP to get it for free, or buy another one. Otherwise you're just gonna go on being uncertain and that is no fun.

Most surgeries now operate on the system of phoning in the morning to get an appointment for that day.

The sooner you make the appointment, the sooner you'll get seen. You can go to NHS walk in clinics, your GP, etc. The best people to initially call to find out where individually, you'd be best off going (depending on how comfortable you feel with each of the options), ring NHS direct, whose number is in one of the sticky threads at the top. Explain to them that you need to see someone to ascertain whether or not you are pregnant and you're quite anxious to get seen quickly, and they'll list your options for you in the area you live.

Then book an appointment if necessary, or just find out times etc and go along to the clinic. I'm masterful at putting these things off, but seriously: just ring them now, and get it booked. It'll be a weight off your mind.

You don't need to tell the receptionist why you need the appointment, so don't be scared about phoning up. If you do another test on your own you might have the same result and still be left wondering whether you are pregnant. And if you are, the doctor is the best person to give you advice on what to do.

Or you can click here and see if there's a family planning clinic in your area. They won't tell anyone, and you can even ask them not to tell your doctor. Mostly, they seem to operate drop in sessions so you won't need an appointment.

I wouldnt be able to go to a NHS DIRECT walk in center as the nearset one is miles awayand i wouldnt be able to get there! i'd have to book an appoitment wid the docter asap! my m8 thinks i am as the second test came up wid the slightly pink colour and he says it obviusuly detected the hormone. ahhh ifeel so ill x

get the doc to do a blood test, that way you defo know. i had loads of neg home tests while i was trying for a baby, by the time i went for a blood test i was already 10 weeks gone. There very unreliable.

If it came up strangely in the control window, which is what your initial post says then it could just be it was a slightly dodgy test. Do you have reason to believe you might be pregnant? If so, then head on down to the doctors and get tested there and they'll be able to help you with whatever you decide to do next.

It seems like you don't want to believe that you very possibly could be. Denial. I don't know your age or circumstance but taking to a parent of Doctor is a sensible idea.

Yes there is a possibility i could be! im 17

So one must presume here you have had unprotected sex?

Reply 14

yes very stupid of me i know!

Reply 15

There are pregnancy tests available which say either "pregnant" or "not pregnant". Try one of those if you're in any doubt.

Right so you have I think a 25% change of being pregnant. At the end of the day just go to the doctor. It will give you some piece of mind if nothing else

To be fair they aren't meant to be perfect, rather a general guide.

But yes, just go to the doctor, and then you can take a decision as to what next once you know for sure either way.

We all make mistakes... hopefully this scare will mean you're less likely to do it again.
