Shorter men

Am posting anonymously because my ex would read this otherwise and wouldn't be pleased.

I have a big crush on this guy, but everyone teases me about it cos he's quite short for a man. This is made 'funnier' by the fact that I'm really tall for a girl so there's quite a height difference (maybe 3 or 4 inches). We've been together before and it was ok but he had serious problems at the time so after a few meetings it didn't develop into anything more. All my boyfriends have been over 6ft so far, but I really think this guy is hot.

The thing is, we get on really well and I think all these people are being pretty shallow. But realistically, if everyone does find it hysterically funny that the girl is taller than the guy, I do want to know.

You shouldn't worry about what other people think. Yeah, there might be a few people who will laugh or whatever, but in the end it's your decision. He can't help being short and you can't help being taller. It would be wrong to not go out with him just because of his height or what other people think of it.

lol My boyfriend is shorter than me when I'm in heels, and Tom Cruise is a shortish guy. There are loads of good-looking shorter guys in terms of celebrities. I'm sure some of the people teasing you about going out with a shorter guy wouldn't even have to think about saying yes to a date with Tom Cruise or any other short celebrity guys, or to any tall celebrity girls ie Nicole Kidman or models.

Exactly my sentiments, If you like the guy and you get on great then who cares about height? Don't listen to other people, They should recognise that you if you like each other enough then shallow points like that shouldn't matter.
(Who knows, There probably even jealous and trying to deter you.)

Don't worry about it, your friends are only joking around there is no serious reason why you shouldn't be with someone shorter.

Yep, my boyfriend is about the same but shorter when I am in heels (it doesn't stop me though). It doesn't bother me at all, and no-one else I know seems bothered by it.

Well concidering my hight (5foot4) it's kind of hard to find a guy shorter than me to be honest. However if I was taller and I seriously liked a guy that was shorter than me I wouldn't care I would still go out with them. Hight is like age to me. It doesn't really matter.

Oh god...short blokes. Nooooo. Its just not sexy. Even if he was the hottest guy ever I couldnt be with him. But thats me. If I saw a girl taller than a guy I wouldnt think anything of it. So I think you should go for it :smile:

My ex was short, I suppose it kinda bothered me a bit, Because it was like 5 inches, But end of the day you get past these things.. (Just not there annoying personality. Heh :smile:

my ex was shorter. but im 5'10-11. wearing heels just never happened when i was near him!! haha. i didn't mind it tbh.

This brings some comfort since I'm only 5"6 and as muscular as a rake... :biggrin:

Reduces the attractiveness factor somewhat I would imagine... Pretty obvious what I'm going to say, ignore the height factor, although in terms of initial attractiveness, I would admit that being attracted to a noticeably larger woman would be difficult..
