Actually it should be for any one who have the talent to study but if some one cant afford it than he or she cant be in a University. For example there are some people in this world who dont get enough food to eat but they should get food but how can they get.

Oh sorry, I thought you were coming from the other direction, as in people who can't afford it don't deserve to go, which is clearly wrong.

Yes, in practice university is only available to those with money and those in countries that give loans, like Britain. In principle it should be available to everyone.

Where do you live, out of interest?

And? That has nothing to do with our university policies. The UK supports British citizens.

Every one is not a British citizen

I suppose it depends if you're talking from a UK or worldwide perspective as to the proportion of people that are financially unable to get through university. I don't think the system is particularly biased towards middle or upper class people with all the loans and grants that are available even if the prospect of debt is an intimidating one. I do understand it isn't viable for absolutely everybody though.

I am talking from a worldwide perspective

I still don't get what you're talking about. EU and British citizens are given money for tuition fees and for living costs. I don't see how that's a problem just because people are starving in the world. It may be a selfish opinion yes, but it is our government's decision how British money is spent.

I am not from British or EU and the title is (Re: Do people think university should only be for the middle-class?) it doesn't says do the people who are from EU and British think universities should only be for the middle-class
University should be for the most academically able. Class shouldn't be a barrier.

You said university should be for those who are intelligent enough, but have the right money. That's what I understood from your post anyway.
Its gotten to a point now where it doesnt matter what your background is or what your academic ability is, you can still go to university.
