might be a cyst or something. Who are we to know..go to the doc if you dont know what it is - doesnt matter how trivial you think something is it's better to get something checked than not.
It might be a swollen gland- they are all around the back of your head/neck, and are really tender. Don't worry- if it hurts it's probably nothing. I've had it myself.
its cancer.................................................................................................joking prob a spot.....

It could be some sort of boil, most probably a carbuncle? You might want to check this out.
It may be a swollen lymph node! They swell up when you have an infection, hope that helps.

I woke up this morning, with my neck hurting, I put my hand over where the pain was, and found a little hard lump. it's on the back of my neck, near my hairline, and in line with my ear. it doesn't hurt now, unless I touch it. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I am thinking of going to the docs, but I don't want to waste his time if it's nothing. any ideas?
You are not wasting his time, this is what he is paid over £100,000 per year for
