It's possible that it won't have been absorbed properly, but I really doubt it will make that much difference. If you're that worried about it, take one from the end of that pack and just make your current cycle a day shorter. Would it be that much of a tragedy to use a barrier method as well anyway?

unless you didnt have your last 7 day break, i believe making the cycle one day shorter, ie 20 pill days not 21, will mean you're not covered either. i believe you're only covered in the 7 day break if you've taken all 21 pills correctly...
but if you joined your last pack to this one then it should be ok.
i'd use barrier contraception just in case

thinking about it, if you take one from the end of the pack and then dont have your 7 day break, you should be ok. another option.

just stick with the 7 day rule, as you would if you had stomach problems/vomited after taking a pill. Your cycle might be a bit funny this time round (the one and only time- which is why im not sure if it's always like this- that i properly mucked up my pill taking, my period started a week early, but i just had the 7 day break and the next month i was fine). Read your booklet about it, but it's probably not a great idea to take what could turn out to be a double dosage today
No, it's fine to finish your pack 1 pill early. It advises you to in the pill booklet. It says:

"If you lose a pill, the easiest thing to do is to take the last pill of the pack in place of the lost pill. Then take all the other pills on their proper days. Your cycle will be one day shorter than usual, but contraceptive protection is not affected. After your 7 pill free days, you will have a new starting day, one day earlier than before."

So if you wanted to take another pill just to be sure, it would be fine.
