From the top of my head Accenture have one but i think its close.

Aside from that there is JP Morgan and Rothschild, both of which have IB placements for gap years.

IBM do a scheme as well but entry for it closes on 31st January. Also, Accenture has already closed.

could you post the link for E&Y?

Hmm in Accountancy scholarship schemes are offered by PwC, KPMG and Deloitte. From what ive heard the Deloitte one promises alot and delivers little. Watch out for it...they claim you can use part of your time on your gap year towards time qualification for your ACA, according to the ICAEW this is not the case.

You can use part of your time for your ACA, the initial 7 month placement can be used towards it as Deloitte have an agreement in place with the ICAEW and it is a period of continuous employment of more than 13 weeks.

However, you must also complete your work experience each year, but this cannot be counted towards your ACA unless you work in an ACA relevant department (i.e not most of Corporate Finance or Consulting) and extend your work experience to at least a 13 week period.

It says they offer you a minimum of 4 weeks work experiece with them each year but just out of interest, is it compulsory?

JP Morgan is for undergraduates (according to the web-site) and the closing date for Rothschild was last month. Accenture's deadline has also passed. PwC, Deloitte and KPMG are still open though.

It's a scheme well worth applying for. I've just been told I was successful at the first interview stage, and will be attending the final assessment day on 8th March.

Contrary to what others have said in this and other posts, I'd say the most important thing about the interviews is that you come accross as someone who the interviewer wants to work with. My interview was really informal and in the end we ended up chatting about what he was looking for and what kind of people dont get in! Dont rehearse answers and dont be overbearing. Essentially, they want someone who is both interested and interesting.

Just send me a PM if you want to know any more.

huh? I thought PwC close on the 31st March 2006? At least thats what I read, though it may be closed for certain vacancies if they've already been filled.
recurring
PWC is closed.

Reducing the competition...nice!
So if you have applied what stage are you at?

I just went on their site and there are things still available!!! Especially within assurance. I've applied for public services and just a while ago (like a week and a half) the website said 80% vacancies in london and now there's only cardiff available  thats strange especially when they've just given me an interview for a vacancy for the one in london!!!! I don't understand!!!!

I haven't applied for kpmg (if that was directed towards me).

I just got offered place on PwC placement for assurance, when they phoned, they said 'we've closed applications for assurance' all the spaces have been filled up, lucky me!!!

Mmmm...well they have two more assessment centres to come...so I doubt they're filled up...at least I hope not!

Why would they pay for train and hotel if they had filled all the places?
