Due to family circumstances during my A Levels I was only able to get 200 UCAS points. I'm currently on a gap/re-take year as an external candidate (studying etc from home/private tutor).
I want to study Politics at Portsmouth next September (2012 entry) but the entry requirements state 240-300.

I know I'll be able to get up to 240 by re-taking 1 unit but would I be considered for a place considering I'll be on the lower side of the entry requirements?
    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Yes, you'll have the entry requirements so you'll be eligible.
If you need work experience or any other qualifications, make sure you have them!
And also you can get UCAS points for other things, such as Duke of Edinburgh awards, music awards and the extended project.
