Psychology Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

The investigation is on whether or not mnemonics aid the memory in the recall of information.

The results for the two sets of data have been tabulated - Chunked and Unchunked information. i.e. phdbscmsc csfgegthh. I have a table which shows the participant number and two columns showing the number of correct letters recalled by each participant.

How else/what would be the most suitable way of illustrating this data i.e. pie chart, bar chart?

The bar chart would seem to be a bit... simple, would it not?

IDEAS IDEAS IDEAS!!

dont really get it...but if you used gender as a variable as well(i think) then you could do a ki-square (sp) diagram!?

Chi-square, although the contingency table isn't really a way of presenting data officially really just marking it out before you work out the chi-square values.

I think if you have a frequency v no. of words etc recalled then a bar chart would be fine as it would show the two defined nominal data.

you're not supposed to give a complicated graphic display either, bar charts i think are fine.
