I was reading an article online about the existence of dodgy political tactics employed by politicions in the U.S., and have heard people talk about how they exist, and was wondering if someone could give me some examples? (or link me to somewhere I can read about them, just find it intersting)

Also, I started reading The Prince by Machiavelli, only at the beginning, but a pompous friend of mine started talking about 'Machiavellian tactics in US politics'. Examples of this would also be appreciated.

Also, by 'dodgy' I mean committing acts which can be deemed as unfair, immoral, sneaky, backstabbing, borderline illegal, fully illegal, sexual blackmail, etc.
