Well I got one on the 25th Feb

I'm guessing that they will ask:
why do you wanna come to warwick?
why do you wanna do MORSE?
then some questions from personal statement...
Then possibly a few maths/stats/economic questions depending on what A levels you do.

Well above is just a guess based on what I was asked at UCL (plain maths).

Good luck!!!

cool. have u decided where u wanna go yet? i think we have pretty similar choices

the interview for morse is VERY informal, mine was given by a research student. It won't (or at least shudnt) affect whether you get an offer; certainly no academic questions at all. mine lasted about 15 mins, and that was only cos i asked a load of questions.

Sorry for the delayed reply... been very busy

Predicted:
Maths: A
Physics: A
Economics: A
Further Maths (AS): A
Chemistry (AS): B - already got this

Warwick interview half of their applicants, according to their prospectus. I suspect the other half get rejected, meaning that the interviews are for determining who gets offers. I don't think they are unsure about us, they just want to see how well we cope in the interview and possibly how good our maths/stats/economics is and how we tackle problems...

When is your interview?
Just outta interest... how do your predicted grades compare?

just had it today like you!!

How did it go?

I've got a MORSE interview next Wednesday, but I'm not entirely sure what to expect. Do you mind if I ask what you were expected to do? Would it be worth revising any of my Maths & Statistics A Level work? I completed my A Levels in June, so I suspect I will have forgotten the majority of the course by now!

It went quite well for me...

Usually each interviewer approaches interviews differently... and there was at least 4 of them...

Don't bother revising/learning anything for it... unless you have taken a year out... then they might wanna check if you still know ur stuff... Which it looks like you have... so just go through the summaries in your text books... they might want to check if you bothered to go over it since june... Well this is just my speculation because I didn't take a year out... Also if you didnt do economics, you could read up a bit about it too, just to show extra interest... will be useful to you when you start the degree anyway...

Well anyway, my interviewer just asked me some general questions about current affairs (eg decline in no of maths students/teachers/lecturers => possible maths lecturers higher wages and possible exemption of tution fees for maths students) also asked me a bit about my personal statement, and also what I thought about the examining ppl removing stats from gcses completely.

I think that was it...

Good Luck... I wouldn't worry about it... was very informal... I think they wont base offers on it much... unless you screw up completely...

errr...mine was NOTHING like that

it was VERY informal, she basically wanted ME to ask HER questions, she asked very few questions directly to me.

strange.
Reply 19
she asked me that too... if i had any questions a couple of times... and I just asked her a few about course and options and A level grades as im doing 3 a levels and 2 as levels (excluding gen studies)

It is definately worth coming to the interview with questions prepared in your mind... just try to think of some on the way there... thats what I did.

Olive, you didn't have the South African interviewer, the one with rather short hair for a woman... (well it weren't that short...) by any chance? Coz thats the one I had...
