Just completed 2 parts of my english language GCSE, and it both parts i got an A. Was aiming for an A*, so a tad disappointed. They were both 6.25% of my final grade i think and were in speaking and listening. Can i still get an A* overall? Any idead how? Thanks

If you're in year 10 now, you should naturally throughout lessons, unknowingly, improve your skills in English until exam period in year 11. Generally whatever grade you achieve in year 10, you will end up with the grade above that the following year. So if you are in year 10 with an A in assessments, don't worry, you're on target for an A*. If you are in year 11 however, it will be harder, but not by any means impossible to achieve your desired grade. If you averaged an A* in the rest of your assessments, you could quite easily achieve your desired grade as those a's you got dont account for too much.

    Hope this helped
