English Language AS - How do I compare texts?

Alright so i recently dropped lit and lang a level to just do english language a level...but im finding it quite hard to catch up...

can someone please tell me how i compare texts?
what structure do i follow etc?

Try to analyse the language in one text and then compare/link it to the other text- use sentences like "This is similar to" etc, then follow the same pattern for structure tone etc . Try to use quotes that have at least 3 meanings to allow you to write as much as possible and get a higher grade

I do eng lit and lang so here's what I think you ought to do:
P1-discourse-link to GAPTT
*COMPARATIVE SENTENCE*
Compare to other text-link to GAPTT
P2-language level-link to GAPTT
*COMPARATIVE SENTENCE*
compare to other text
(Do paragraph 2, 4 times)
(Always start with discourse)
(GAPTT is genre, audience, purpose, topic, time)
