The Student Room Group

New Guy

I just started uni in september and it has been one of the best decisions of my life  .

The only bad thing about it was my now ex boyfriend broke up with me as he didnt want me to go. This was in May. I have since got over him. I have now met this amazing polish guy, cute sweet and amazingly intelligent. In other words my perfect man. (I just love his accent.)

I just dont know what to do about it, should I tell him? I sleep in his room most nights as we stay up talking and its great being cosy in a small single bed. Hes a great cosy pillow (and he doesnt mind). Im spending the night there tonight as I feel a bit homesick what should I do?

Sorry about all the questions and did I mention he gorgeous?

Well, if he lets you sleep in his bed and you chat for hours on end then I'm pretty certain he doesn't dislike you. :p: As for "telling" him, I always think being so obvious about things is unnecessary. I mean he must know that you like him surely? If not then yeah, raise it and see what he says...

Are you sure he's straight?

I'm sure you can give him some hints during your conversations. Tell him if you're sure you want it to become something!

Good luck!

Valid question actually, didn't occur to me.
Tell him what? That you have a boyfriend? If you guys broke up, you dont exactly owe him anything..

Sleeping in his bed at the end of it will be a pretty big hint.

Do you mean "shall I tell him I like him", in which case, you don't really need to do you (unless he is gay, which is a very good point now I come to think of it)

Or do you mean "shall I tell him about my ex boyfriend", in which case it's not a big deal either way if you two broke up and you're over it.

Not so sure I see what the issue is here?

Its nothing to do with my ex boyfriend, I just really really like him and would like something more to come out of it.

Also I know he is completely 100% straight. Dont ask me how I know just do by some of his actions.

Hes just amazing and totally cute, I am just not sure how to bring the topic up with him as I dont want to ruin any part of our friendship at the mo.
Just kiss him.

Just kiss him.

Is that really the best idea?
Yup.
Kiss him on the cheek as you're saying goodbye, or if he's done something particularly cute, then dont move away for a few seconds and look him meaningfully in the eye... if he doesn't get that then tell him :p:

Wouldnt it be a bit to obvious? I really like him as a friend as well so dont want to lose it.

I'm completely infactuated with him arent I? I cant seem to stop thinking about him
Just say "goodness me, its a cold night".

He gets home in an hour, goin to the cinema.

Should be fun, spending the night round his, doing some revision or hopefully something a bit more interesting.

Whats more intresting than cell membranes, any ideas?
