There is no answer to that question because it can vary from person to person. Some people just know how they feel and never doubt it, others decide to think of themselves as gay because thats how they feel happy.

People like myself have gone through periods of confusion, denial and uncertainty before they finally understand and accept how they feel.

In the end its about yourself. When you stop thinking about what other people will think, when you are able to accept for yourself how you feel, without asking yourself if other people will agree, then you know.

You know how you feel. Its not about what society tells you a gay/bi/straight person is, its not about how other gay/bi/straight people feel, its about what you feel is the best description of yourself, and noone has the right to tell you you are wrong.

Explaining to others how you feel is a whole different matter.

You just just be curious you know.

The best way of telling is to kiss another member of the same sex. If you feel something in your pants (that can apply to both genders), then you are either gay or bi. If not, then you're straight.
