Anyone from Hallam aware of if St Maries has a loan funding firm?

Hi all, was really distracted at mass today, I couldn't concentrate.:unimpressed:

I'm having an investigative procedure at the hospital in the next couple of weeks (please could you pray for me:smile:), I went to the pre-assessment thing on Friday and the nurse asked if I had a religion so I decided to say Christian and was immediately reminded of Amy asking about our identity, so I suppose it would be truer for me to say that I see myself as Catholic but sometimes I might just say I'm Christian because "everybody hates Catholics".

Prayers heading your way :yep:

Also, I'd say it's definitely worth saying Catholic in a situation like that, because they'll be able to put you in touch with the Catholic chaplain that way.
And it's definitely not the case that "everybody hates Catholics".

Hi everyone,

One of my New Years resolution was to read the Bible. By doing this and by a lot of googling for answers to my questions I have learnt a lot about being a Catholic.

One thing I am still struggling on is viewing pornography or just general lusting really. I haven't watched any and I try avoid viewing images which might make me lust. This is so difficult for me, it's like wherever I look there's lustful images or video whether on tv, movies or even the daily mail which I read each day.

I'm wondering which of you watch pornography and your views on it or how you have been able to stop viewing it etc.

Thanks.

I think we've spoken before. It is indeed very difficult. The point is that you're trying, and that's more than most people do

this guy justin talks about these issues a lot. he's dealt with it. I don't know who he is or if he's absolutely sinless - doesn't matter really since our journey is about the struggle. you're carrying the cross as we all are called to. good job admitting it and trying something

justin has some ideas that may help - if you can find it. try youtube for older speeches. heres the web site:

It's easy to have faith in/for other people :colondollar:

I'm doing okay I guess. Have been back to SPEC a couple of times, and helped out at the local museum for the first time today. Still haven't found a job though :erm:

True :hugs:

Sorry to hear about the lack of job. Will def keep praying about that. It's good that you're keeping busy though. No doubt the Lord will lead you to where you need to be, in His own time. Frustrating, I know. God-time makes me very annoyed. Would rather things just run the way I want them to! :grumble:

Not that busy :erm:
Those are pretty much the only things I've done in the last few weeks. Well, that and get good use out of my free month on Netflix :mmm:
