How far is it from Bordeaux or Biarritz? The budget airlines fly there, in fact Princess Michael of Kent uses Easyjet to Biarritz.

I think it must be, yes! Lourdes is in the very south-west of France, near Toulouse and the Pyrenees

Also :hi: :yay: :hugs:
You could always go to Barcelona and stay there, then travel up!

You're all making me want to visit France this year

Blessings on the new Bishop of Plymouth. My mum and dad knew one of his predecessors. Only the third in 59 years.

It's a pretty color I have to admit.

Oh and and once again, that creeping forray has led me back to Catholocism.
Since I made that post last month I have been going to Mass once or twice a week and doing some serious study again.
This time though however much I may intend to stick with it, I have informed the Fr. that I want to wait at least a year before confirmation, knowing my yo-yo track record I wouldn't want to insult the sacrament by rushing into anything.

On a seperate note , did you once mention you were thinking of joining an order?

Sounds good, it's not something that needs to be rushed after all :nah:

I probably said something like, if I were to become a nun, I'd join the FCJ sisters (an Ignatian order). But I'm not called to become a nun. Poverty I can do, but obedience and chastity aren't my strong points  :getmecoat:

This is exciting :teeth:

Tbh, I reckon the delay is a good sign of things to come. Means you're prepared to really thoroughly think it all through :yep:

It would completely depend on the circumstances. My faith is hugely important to me, so they'd have to be completely accepting of that. They'd also have to have no problems with any children being brought up Catholic, and ideally the whole family attending Mass together on a Sunday/holy days of obligation.

Basically, I don't think it would work out with anyone who has a very strong faith unless they were Catholic, unfortunately
