Geography DME

Did anyone do the geography DME today? What did you think? I totally messed up the last question...ran out of time :mad:

Most of my friends did that today (about 60% of the entire year group does Geography!). I hope you did well!

Yep I did the DME today.
I just managed to finish the last question luckily; but in general I found it pretty easy. You grade really depends on the depth of your answer; most of my answers were about 3/4 page with the last one being extra long lol. Well hopefully it went well for you :smile:

How did yu find it??? What option did you choose?

DME stands for Decision Making Exercise. Its basically a 1 hour 45 minute geography exam where you study a range of resources on a theme (you get the resources three weeks in advance) and you have to make a decision concerning the issue (Ecotourism in this case). The exam consists of three sections background, options and decision with each section being worth 20 marks. This accounts for 30% of the final geography grade.

I did option 2 - the one with the integrated plan etc. i dont think i explained why too well...but we'll see.
But on the plus side you can retake it so I may do that in June

Ha I think i've got a DME to do in the summer for A-level geography, just use all the sources, include lots of facts, figures, agreements etc .. sorted!
