One of the top 4 have always won unless the nation who won instead was hosting it (and in all of those the final was vs one of the top 4.)

So statistically Germany should walk this... but then they don't have the best squad, though they didn't last time either and got to the final!
    what about Uruguay?

Weren't they hosting when they won?

With that exception then, if they weren't...

they won it twice - once when they hosted it, and the other in 1950.

You could say everyone of the WC FINALS has been won by the big 4 or host since there was no WC final in 1950

1615: We have a contender for miss of the season. Tottenham's Jermaine Jenas evades Lee Bowyer's tackle, rounds Shay Given and with the goal gaping he conspires to scoop it into the side netting. Newcastle's Gallowgate end howl in laughter at the inept finishing of their former midfielder.

This is why he shouldnt go :p:

All those kits look quite impressive except for Holland's home and away, which look more like a BHS polo shirt and a 1980s international squash T-shirt respectively.

Lehman choosen as no. 1 over Kahn.... Jens deserves it, he has been our player of the season.

Expect a Harald Schumacher moment at the WC then.

Brazil and Argentina dont play wing back formations. Brazils line up will be:

    Dida
Cafu (Cicinho if he is not fit) Juan Lucio R Carlos
    Ze Roberto Emerson
    Ronaldinho Kaka
    Ronaldo Adriano

It must be said that Brazils front 4 are very much out of form at the moment. Carlos and Cafu leave spaces behind them and are quite frankly too old.

Ronaldinho is out of form  ? ~runs for cover~

Personally I think that Bridge and Cole should play on the left , that way the team would have balance.

I also think that Beckham should play, he and Neville did very well for Manchester United and England in the past , although i think Beckham should stay on the right , as oppose to cutting in a lot of the time as he seems to want to

In defence i would go for Terry and Ferdinand , terry for leadership and organisation, and Ferdinand for the pace and awareness

Midfield , King as the holding player , hes done well in the limited experience he has had there ,
lampard/gerard, although lampard i would favour as gerard has not been that impressive for England

I think so. Not lost a game in 5 is it?? Remarkable for a relegation team.
    3 wins 2 draws.
Arsenal would have done well to get.

I kind of hope so as well, as I do like Harry.
