It wasn't as good as the guy over the radio made it out to be, the goal keeper basically stumbled. Good goal none the less.

Well i hardly think Terry has been great on a European/World basis (made to look a fool by Dinho, outpaced and found completely out of position by Morientes, caught completely flat footed by Postiga, oh and who can forget that comical mistake against Ecuador :p: )

Carragher is great in Europe, especially the season when Liverpool won the CL. He was immense. Internationally, he hasnt had a fair chance and is played out of position most of the time.
Agreed, Terry's passion and physicality can't be disputed, but he's not quick or technically gifted enough to be seen as world-class.

There's no need for two threads on the same thing.

    Use the other one. Cheers!

Great attempt by Alonso, although if Harper hadnt panicked and fell over like a clown he could have headed it off the line.

Doesn't the first post of a thread state what the thread is all about?

I don't think "" gives away too much, to be honest.

Doesn't have physical speed, but mentally he's quick to spot danger. I also think he's underated technically. When he needs to be he shows poise on the ball and is a decent passer. I remember him doing an awesome dribble against Newcastle last season, he beat two defenders on mazy run. But I guess he's no Rio/Chivu/Ayala/Kompany in terms of technique.
