Shouldn't do any harm. There may even be a bit left in your system which would result in a cheap night.

It should be alright, but don't drink too much. Normally, it takes quite a few hours for antibiotics to completely leave your system. Just don't overdo the drinking

Reply 3

It would probably be ok, but it may be easier for you to get tipsy/drunk than usual.

from what i gather (from my parents, one of which is a GP), unless you were specifically told you cannot drink alcohol, you can drink it while you're taking it. there are one or two types which react badly with antibiotics. with all the others, it's just an old wives tale that you cannot drink
don't quote me on that, but i can't think of a reason my parents would lie (when they're professionally trained in it), unless they wanted to kill me...

The guy at the chemist told me not to drink while taking them, but i wont be drinking much 2moro anyways.

the only antibiotic that reacts badly to alcohol is apparently one which is used for treating thrush.

you will be fine, my dad's a doctor and told me this.

I was taking antibiotics over New Year, but I still drank. I read the leaflet really carefully and it didn't mention it. I think that they'd be legally obliged to put it on there if it was going to cause problems (not that I'm saying it's the best idea in the world - more due to the fact that it's usually not a good idea to drink when you are ill than anything else).
