verbally abused by a postman

Today me and my boyfriend were just sat on a bench minding our own business, when this postman came to empty the post out of the box, we were just watchin as we had nothing better to do (we weren't giggling or anything or anything to make him feel threatened) n he jus went mental shouting "what you ******* staring at you mongs?" i was jus shocked n laughed it off and he said it again, i couldn't believe it. Ive decided to issue a complaint. Just wondering if you've had any run-ins with evil postpeople? :mad:

cant say i have no....my postman is about 70 and is lovely, never bends the post or nuffin...hehe.
sounds like you may have caught mr grumpy postman on a bad day...

Maybe his cat was murdered by people "who had nothing better to do" and despite all the starring that goes on in your village no one has reported the culprits (who are rumoured to sit on benches "snogging" and starring).

i find it funny to camp at my letter box and when the postman/flyer guy~ puts the mail through the door, rip the mail out of his hand :toofunny:

he might not have liked how you dressed or the music you listen to and you just pushed him too far by staring at him.

no offense but when i read the thread title i laughed. You just think of postmen as kind people, postman pat for example :P

My postman from a couple of years back was stealing loads of mail, he has just got out of jail

I saw a young hot postman on a bike today. He rang his bell (!!) to get past. Sooo cute! I think I embarassed him by laughing out loud though :frown:

amy_mcr, I personally believe that you should file a complaint agaisnt the postman in question, since being treated like that for no reason at all is totally unacceptable in my books; especially since he was on duty and was supposed to set a good example not only for the company he works for, but also for himself! :p:

I am glad to state that I do not have a nasty postman, but a really cool one. I usually see him every morning and he's like "hiya dude," since I buy so much stuff from the Internet that he is usually round my house everyday knocking on the door either for a signature or to give me a parcel that can't fit into the letterbox.

Power to the people amy_mcr! Lets burn the posty and have some postysmores! Mwah, mwah mwah! lol :biggrin:

He was probably having a bad day. Best to ignore it, going through the complaints procedure can be time-consuming.

I guess it shows that postmen are normal people, but theres no real excuse for that unless you did something to upset him. If he is wearing a uniform he should act appropriately, same as for a policeman/ fireman etc etc.

Can't say as I have had any run-ins myself. I hardly ever speak to a postman in all honesty but in my limited experience they have been polite enough.
