The only bad experience we had was when I met someone and started dating. I still don't know if she wanted more (I know I did) and got upset because I was with someone else, or whether it was just that we spent a lot less time together since I had someone else really close to me. But we've spoken rarely since, and always with resentment there on her part. However at the time it was great, we became closer friends because of the physical intimacy. We already thought nothing of changing around each others house and were quite confortable with each other, we walked with linked arms and tickled each other, going from that to slightly more intimate contact didn't seem like such a change.

Ok, I have never been in the situation myself... but there was this girl in my year who was. At first I think she enjoyed it, for obvious reasons, but after a few weeks/a month she became really sad as she felt she was being used and it finally clicked that a relationship wouldn't form. She had to learn to get over him, despite not actually having anything more than physically with him. I don't believe they are friends anymore.
I believe that some girls think that FWB will eventually lead to something, but more often than not, it doesn't tend to. The girls are the ones that tend to suffer the most at the end of it all.

The title is very misleading - i was under the impression "friends with benefits" was something to do with friends being on welfare benefits and how you may/do feel towards such occurences.

Friends with benefits is the less crude name for **** buddies it would seem. The characters in the play have suggested the agreement, but communication breakdown and some misleading moments etc. leads to a confusion of where they stand. The guy basically takes it too far, but defends himself under the guise of the agreement.

hmm, to me F*** Buddies implies more that the relationship is based purely on the physical act. whilst 'Friends with Benefits' implies more that it is a friendship that has grown to include some sort of physical intimacy. maybe i just like to dress over the crude reality tho and i'm too much an idealist.
