I'm thinking of dying my hair using L'oreal couleur experte. The pictures on the boxes look really good but I suspect it's very fiddly to use and the reality isn't going to be so great. I'd like to be able to have highlights for just a tenner but don't want to make a mess of my hair! Has anyone used this product and were you happy with it? Thank you!

careful with those. They might give u good results but u need to know how to use them, and have someone help you out doing it (and timing how long they have to stay on). I suggest you go to a hairdresser and do them.. yes, more expensive, but not as much as going there after u dye them wrong to fix the mess (plus, the result is guaranteed with a hairdresser)

my friend used one of these as her friend had just done it and looked great. for some reason hers came out bright orange. it wasnt even an orange or blonde shade, it was a brown. very very odd. she had to go to the hairdresser to sort it and even then it was still slightly orangey.
