inhaling plastic

some idiot from my flat just melted a load of plastic in my kitchen by accidently leaving it on the hob. now my whole flat stinks and is really smoky. we'v opend windows n luckily im at other end of hall but should we be worried about inhaling it. dyu reckon itl make us sick? iv told ppl with rooms near the kitchen to open their windows but will this be enough?arg how annoying
its best not to breathe it in so stay out of their for a while and yeah keep windows open. inhaling plastic can cause severe breathing difficulties

Inhaling large amounts of it may cause tiny specks of plastic to form inside your lungs but a small amount shouldn't do anything. edit: If its only the toxic fumes that your inhaling (not the actual bits of plastic) then its only the toxins that will affect you so no bits of plastic in your lungs :p:

Yeah keeping the windows open should be enough, its the same as it would be for anyother toxins really.
Aslong as the room is well ventilated it should be ok
