I sent off my data protection form at the weekend, am I suppose to receive confirmation that they received it or not because I don't know if they got it or not. I am applying to churchill college

I sent mine away last week and haven't received any word back from Churchill, I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi,
I've applied to Clare college,

They've sent me the conformation email sort of thing, which doesn't mention interview's . But I haven't received anything since I submitted my SAQ.. except for a SAQ conformation.

In the first email, it mentions looking on the college website. Telling me to submit the two forms and that written work needs to be sent in by the 14th of November.

Surely I should know if I have an interview, before I send work in?

Does anyone know where I'm coming from?

No. People have been rejected whilst in the process of sending in work. Probably because sending in work needs a wider timeframe than arranging an interview date.

I thought you only had to send work in, when you were offered an iview via email? I haven't received anything other than application acknowledgment and SAQ emails...Am i supposed to have a essay submission email?

Hiya,

cambridge emailed me asking for me to complete a fee status question & a data protection form and say send it as soon as possible. the also asked for work to be sent in the email by the 11th. should i send all three together in one envelope at one time? would it matter? they also ask for a cover sheet to be completed for each piece of work sent and ask that two copies be sent of each. should I attach a cover sheet for the copies as welll?

thanks!

Fully depends on your college. I know that Jesus last year, for example, asked for work in the letter inviting you to interview while some other colleges asked for it beforehand

I applied last year - after I sent in my SAQ, I received an email on the 21st October saying what the interview dates would be, so I could tell them if I had any major commitments over those days, and about work/tests etc. - this sounds like the one you've been sent already. Then I had a second email saying I had an interview on 24th November, but nothing in between, so I doubt you'll be told whether you have an interview until after the essay deadline

I think one envelope is fine; it will be a waste of time and effort to divide them into different posts (although I doubt it highly matters in the first place). And I would photocopy the coversheet as well, just in case they need copies of the full set, instead of just the work itself.

you got the email to say u had an interview as late as 24th november? I thought everyone got emails at start of november :/ ... that gives me even less notice for interview dates in december

Reply 31

Yep, my interview was less than 2 weeks later.

But seriously, don't panic! I did just fine

And this year, I know that Clare has already started sending out invitations to interview - I believe the first batch went out today

No worries ...I got an email saying I have an interview :smile: ....better start on these essays haha

The exact same thing has happened to me! Did you make an open application? 'Cause my theory is that it's just changed the 'Campus Code' bit since they've done the allocating now..?
