I haven't heard anything since sending my SAQ off which was a while ago now - is this a bad sign?

My college (Robinson) didn't give me any feedback until I cracked and emailed them and asked whether my application had reached them. I think it's pretty normal for colleges not to reply with anything until they offer you an interview/reject you (don't worry; it'll probably be the former  )...so I guess...be patient :P

There are never very many engineering people on TSR.

There were 2 other girls last year and one boy last year.

Ah wow, all the others are probably off doing the actual work :P did you apply last year then?

Still waiting for information at Downing :frown:

Applying for law btw!

Yeeyyy Downing! I'm applying for Engineering, haven't heard anything. I was just messaging someone who applied for Math last year and they said they didn't find out about their interview till 22nd November.

Apparently Downing is one of the slow Colleges... :/ :frown:

I just received an email from Cambridge. I have been invited for an interview on the 23rd Nov. I will also have to give a test (TSA). Can anyone please guide me on how to prepare for the test and the interview?

Anyone applying for PPS or to Pembroke heard anything about interviews etc? I sent my work off on Saturday, but haven't had any fee forms or emails, it's all been through the post. I'm wondering if Pembroke uses emails at all :s-smilie:

I'm applying for Pembroke and I haven't had any emails other than the automated acknowledgement that I'd sent the SAQ. I got a letter asking for written work, and I got my stamped, self-addressed postcard back the other day with the college stamp on it. I haven't heard anything about fee forms, which makes me think Pembroke is one of the places that only makes you fill them out if you get an offer.

Still waiting on Wolfson...emailed them some additional information that they required Friday just gone so I've no idea when I'll hear from them...

Oh ok - I realised after I sent my work my stamped self-addressed postcard was still lying on my desk :frown:. So I haven't heard if my work has reached them, but as I sent it a few days ago now I'm hopeful it has.

That makes me feel slightly less worried, thanks! What course are you applying for?

Did you just send it regular post? Cos if you sent it recorded or trackable, you'll be able to make sure it arrived on the Royal Mail website. (I went for trackable AND postcard, but I am prone to unnecessary worrying, so...). I doubt Pembroke would mind if you rang them to check, if you're still worried.

I'm applying for Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, because it's the best and also Vikings. You're PPS, right? I had a momentary blank where I couldn't remember what any of that stood for (and got it thoroughly mixed up with PPE), but through the Power of Google, I'm now better informed.

I forgot a self-addressed postcard as well. I sent the admissions an e-mail asking if they had received it and they replied they had received it, which was a big relief!

Just wondering, do cambridge interview 'everyone' who applies through CSAS?

Reply 173

Is there anyone who is applying to Queens' but not for deferred entry other than me? I've heard practically everyone does. (At Queens')

I spoke to the Head of Admissions at Christ's College at an open day in July and she said that if you have learning difficulties they will have to interview you. I'm not sure if this means anyone applying through CSAS in general or just people with LD's.

I think it will most likely depend on the severity of whatever has disrupted your education/ how much you have been disadvantaged.

Found out today that I don't have to take the TSA! What a relief!
I guess because I'm being interviewed overseas?...
