Im going to be doing interdisciplinary science (foundation year) at university of leeds (CFG0) and after completion of it you can do any of the science degrees including medicine.

    however, dentistry you cant.

i know there are more applicants to dentistry than medicine but there is still a fair few to medicine. or is medicine not that competative at leeds? I havent really seen many people talk about being at leeds uni as a medic on this forum.

Overall medicine's been marginally more competetive this year than Dentistry according to some UCAS stats I saw late last year.

its very competitive. but dentists make more money. meds not bad though u get kudos and stuff, first year isnt too hard (well hasnt been so far). i have a slight suspicion that dentistry is easier but i've no way to prove it though i've heard they get "e-lectures" which they can watch from home on their computers!!! medics have to actually goto uni !(in theory )
