Haha, think Linguist meant "Estne volumen in Toga, an solum tibi libet me videre"

"Is that a scroll in your Toga, or are you just happy to see me?"

The only Latin I actually do know is..Carpe Diem, and Cogito Ergo Sum. But everyone knows them

I hate to be a pedant (actually, I don't hate it at all), but is there a particular reason why "Toga" is spelt with a capital T ("Estne volumen in Toga, an solum tibi libet me videre")?

Toga = a village in Japan

toga = a garment worn by the ancient Romans

I'd like to think that it was a clever pun on a tired and unoriginal phrase, but I have a strong suspicion that's not the case...

I was gonna point out the same thing. Just in a less eloquent way, eg:

"Why you got toga with a capital T? Toga is a country mofo!"

Do you think he might object to the fact that I translated the wrong thing?
