How to reduce forearm fat/ make them less flabby?

My forearms are atrocious. OK they're not jiggling all day long exactly, but they just do not look nice for someone of my build (5'2, skinny, boyish figure); does anyone know any exercises to tone them? Or rather exercises that focus on that area? And do all of them have to involve weights (I was hoping more push-up type things)

Maybe I should take up rowing??

Your forearm muscles control your fingers and hands so to tone your forearms, you need to exercise you fingers and hands. Things like squeezing a rubber ball or hand grips will exercise your forearms.
You can't spot reduce fat, i.e you can't pick an area and focus on loosing weight in that area by doing specific exercises.

In short the only way to loose body fat is using more calories than you eat, just eat a balanced diet and do plenty of cardio. yes take up rowing, but with the idea it gets you out of breath, not the idea it works your arms, which it actually doesn't.

doing cardio exercises to use more calories and lower your body fat % is the only way to loose fat.

people who say doing sit ups gets you a six pack are wrong. so is your idea that doing press ups will make your arms less flabby.

cardio to loose the body fat, bicep/tricep exercises to build some lean muscle on your arms.

especially the last one.

Hope I helped?

having cardio equipment/ access to a gym is a good idea if your serious. but you could just go for a jog.

no such thing as toning.
You cant reduce fat on one part of your body by working it out.
You can only make the muscle bigger and lose fat (which means from all over)

You can make muscles firmer by exercising.

I did not mention anything about reducing fat in my previous post, you must be mistaken. The description given by the OP did not indicate excessive fat was an issue.

you could do some reverse barbell curls, firming up your forearms which would make them look more solid

Good stuff kingkongjaffa pretty much everything I wanted to say.

Yes you can't spot reduce fat only reduce your totally body fat. Increase your cardio workout and add some weights too this helps a lot (Muscle burns fat).

If you can try doing Interval or Fartlek cardio as they increase your Epoc (Excess post exercise oxygen consumption) and after workout your body would be in fat burning mode for the next 10+hours.

My favourite type of interval training is HIIT(High intensity interval training), I normally use the treadmill. Check this vid out for more info

For forearm workout check the vid below, This guy is pretty amazing if you get the chance check his other videos too.

I hope this helped.

Working muscles pass their current capacity will result in adding muscle mass, why is that funny?

The OP is clearly skinny fat...

She needs to lose fat and probably build up muscle as she sounds like she has very little muscle at all so some light weights would help. Or rowing at high resistance or anything upper body strength wise...

Sorry to reopen this but I can totally relate to the OP's problem due to years of my mum feeding me junk food and takeaways. :unimpressed: :frown:

Yea, totally your mum's fault. I'm sure she prescribes your exact physical activity at all times whilst force-feeding you high calorie food.
