Thanks  Higher Physics, so hopefully should be ok, but they've slightly changed the format of the exam this year, so I'm a bit more nervous than usual as I don't really know what to expect. Ah well, this time tomorrow I'll have made marshmallows with my physics notes (and be revising maths )
My day from hell mark 1 is fast approaching - physics prac in the morning, maths in the afternoon. Day from hell mark 2 is double chem day! woo! :p: Good luck with your exam friendly neutron (and everyone else!).

I haven't done nearly enough work for higher Physics... I don't need to pass it, but I still feel a bit queasy about it. :frown: AND I've lost my past papers, conveniently. Bleh. At least we get a lovely data sheet.

Can't wait for maths! 3 hours of non-stop calculus fun.

Well you shouldnt get pissed before an exam then  :p:

Good luck though!
Lots of my friends had their first exams today: language orals. One of them was adamant that 'babystoppenpillen' was the German for 'contraception', despite the teacher's attempts to convince her otherwise... :p:

Is it just me, or is maths getting quite good now we're near the end of it? I found myself actually enjoying it the other day... I think my maths career is ending at an appropriate time; you know, before this enjoyment becomes pathological and all.
Adv. H Physics in an hour and a half...Well, it was nice knowing you all for this short period of time...

Friendlyneutron, you may remember my annoyingly cheery mood, and excitement/eargerness to do the exam yesterday, that I thought nothing could dispel? I have since discovered that a corneal abrasion and a night of pain, subsequently followed by a glance at the specimen paper and a realisation it is nothing like the past papers, did a fairly good job...:frown:

No, I'm getting that too! I was very worried about how into the revision I was getting.. Back to funky old Biology after Friday, thank god.

How did all the Scottish physicists find the paper? I thought the higher was quite easy, or would have been if I'd revised properly... lots of stuff in it that I knew I should have known but couldn't remember. Thanking my lucky stars I didn't have to pass it. The advanced higher people didn't seem to find it too bad, apart from the couple that left half an hour in..
i did intermediate two physics today (shameful, i know....its a long story). thought it was randomly quite hard for an int 2, but okish really. i was more amused by wee fourth year neds putting their hands up through the exam going "can i have a calculator/rubber/pen?" i mean WTF why on EARTH would u come to an exam without the necessary accoutrements?! *honestly* yeah so bit harder than ur average int 2 piss take worringly. hmm.

well thats me half way through, two left now. cant wait till this is over.
Fiz was okay I suppose, could have been worse, could have been better. I'll find out on the 8th of August how well it went, I don't like talking about exams too much in that sense once I've sat them, incase whatever I say comes back to bite me on the arse. Maths next! I can't believe I still have 3 subjects to go :frown:

Is physics part of your offer Neutron?
yep, I need an A in it, which was really nice of them considering this is essentially the first time I've done physics! hopefully I've managed it, the paper was pretty fair. Find out in August though, I guess!

It's the 8th of August this year? Pretty early, I think it's usually about the 12th.. I hope the school have told the SQA I changed address or I'll have to go to all the trouble of phoning up to get my results. :frown:

I love the AH maths scholar books. The Unit 2 one has a calculus song in it. You know you're going insane with frenzied revision when you enjoy a calculus song.
My head hurts...
Fortunatly, that's more to do with my eye than the paper. Wasn't as bad as I'd thought...Result could go either way though

Yeah, results are the 8th...think it's always the second Tues in August, which explains the odd date...(Though leaves you thoroughly perplexed as to why such a random day)

Are these the only exams you do for your advanced highers??
