Hehehe, I was thinking that, can't find one on the net. Quite strange how much I bristle at the suggestion anything could be harder than STEP!

Kinda. Haven't been on TSR that much as I was having computer problems. Made the odd post here and there though, mainly in the maths forum. :biggrin: The fun never stops!

Well, according to the Cambridge website, Advanced Higher Maths is equivalent to Further Maths. Also, scottish applicants still get asked to take STEP. I think we can assume that STEP is the hardest exam (aimed at 18year olds) known to mankind. :rolleyes:

So what's the verdict on AH Maths?

It's basically the same as Further Maths A level. So I suppose that while it prepares you for the STEP specification, the papers are much easier.

STEP is possibly a billion times harder.


Quite similar to further, but with different modules all mixed together (there's a mechanics question hiding in the real maths! Kill it!). Although some of them are different to the kinds of questions we get - I've never seen a matrix one like that, although I think I could probably do it.
