I guess i should fill this out instead of just talking in the thread

College applied to: Robinson
Course: Architecture
Conditions: AAA with art
Deferred entry? noparoo
Nationality: UK
Where are you living right now: At home
A few details about yourself: Erm, don't really know what to say...

As far as favourite things go I'm a bit of an art freak, architecture in particular, obviously. I love photography too *strokes cannon 300D affectionately, if not a little wierdly*, and the cinema (favourite films: Pulp Fiction, Being John Malkovich, Spirited away) and music (fav bands: the strokes, kings of leon, zero 7, beck)... And of course Eddie Izzard!

My idea of a good time is just being with my bf or my friends and having a drink and a joint, and listening to some good music, though i like a club after a drink when the urge to dance kicks in

Thats about it really, btw does Robinson have a colour? If not how bout some sort of orange, on account of its vast orange brickwork?

ive already booked a colour . just waiting for nicolo to update it. Dark Green. Orange was taken :frown:

Hey there! I'm a complete film nut, and really into stand-up comedy (Izzard, Moran, Wood - just a couple of favourites!). I think that everyone in the world should read "The Picture of Dorian Grey", and also that I need to stop biting my nails (thanks to Stop 'N' Grow, crisps taste bitter. Ew.) Really hoping that I get the grades, and if so, that I can find some people to go gigging with in Cambridge - there are so many good venues with good bands!)

I'll go gigging with you! Spent an hour today trying to get Arctic Monkeys tickets and failing miserably :frown:

Why do I always find good threads so late?!

College applied to: Sidney Sussex, woot!
Course: MML (french, and spanish from scratch)

oo have you spoken to kellywood_5 - same course same college
Yay another film nut  Eddie Izzard is SO funny, I have 2 dvds of his stand ups. Went to see Moran at Hereford - he was a *bit* (...) drunk, which only seems to serve to improve his performance :p:

sassygirl! ahh ive never found anyone else who likes the sly old dog that is john donne!! whats ur favourite poem? i love marvell too, to his coy mistress just has such a lovely rhythmn and sound to it! honestly we really should have been at the same college.

Another Donne and Marvell fan here :p: In fact, I spent a quarter of my second interview comparing 'The Flea' and 'To His Coy Mistress' (badly, I might add :p: ) I like a lot of Donne's poetry but particular favourites include 'The Canonization', 'The Ecstasy', 'A Valediction: forbidding mourning' and obviously 'The Flea' and 'The Good Morrow'!! - how about you?

Oo, snap :frown: Well, when I say I tried to get them, I really just gave twenty quid to friends who tried to get them. But we failed miserably and are now considering a wee trek across the country to see them in Edinburgh instead.. if they're not sold out there too.. My favourite author = F. Scott Fitzgerald, yay.

I've just realised I'm gonna have to change my iPod nano for one of the 30GB ones before I go to uni, I don't wanna have to fill my room full of CDs, lol.

Although even some of us doing advanced highers weren't quite that lucky. :frown: Not really complaining though, it's still an offer!

College applied to: Girton
Course: History of Art
Conditions: Unconditional. Applied post-award :p:
Deferred entry? nooooo
Nationality: Hong Kong
Where are you living right now: London
A few details about yourself:
Hmmmmm what can I say about myself? I like reading, going out, getting drunk, killing time on MSN and TSR etc  My biggest obsession is with beautiful boys (I hope I don't sound like a pervert...???), which led me to the decision of studying history of art as an excuse to examine naked youths in marble :p: :p:
