I just sat the worse exam i have ever (first time i ever cried after an exam). To be honest it was an easy paper compared to last years- but i am stupid like that.
Im now 100% i have missed my offer and i still have 4 more exams that i can potentialy mess up further....yay

It will be ok! We're all worried (and if you're not then you should be...!), it probably went better than you thought!

Oh aye, where do you play wanderer, used to play a bit on chessworld.net , not huge amounts though. Am playing online scrabble at the moment, have a blank but also iiiu, which sucks :p:

www.gameknot.com

Its free (unless you want to have loads of games at once and take part in the league) and easy to use.

Really? Have you seen the thread on the maths bit? I missed sooo many silly marks, not including the questions i couldnt do!!

Thanks Leannemann, thats really nice:smile:

Basically skipped the vectors question, yeah. Also messed up the binomial expansion, which is annoying

Hiya, I'm feeling dead after that C4 paper too, I've never been reduced to tears by an exam either. I don't think it was an easy paper, we just have to pray that the boundaries are ridiculously low (even with that I'm praying for a good C). I am also feeling pretty much like this is the end, as C3 wasn;t much better... the worst part is that my ability to integrate a trig function has absolutely no bearing on how good I am at English, yet it is on that that my degree future rests. We have to try and stay positive I suppose, its not over yet...
I liked C3- which also worries me because i must have done it wrong to think it was easy.

The vector question, i worked part b wrong so basicaly finished the question with a made up answer and wrote a note to the examiner along the lines of 'please give me method marks'.....thats desperate!
I also thinK I integrated rather than differentiated for the gradient of some line, i forgot what question it was- thats such a stupid mistake- i mean C1 standard. And the last question i couldnt do part a and b although i did it any way-wrong but done. And the binomial i thought was fine, until i checked on the maths forum and saw eveyones answer was different than mine Anyway thats enough moaning from me. Still i never have to do maths again (please no one correct me there!)

You've probably done well enough on C3 to get your A noooni! (Plus, I think grade boundaries are usually quite low on C4 papers anyway).

I was glad about finishing a-level maths as well... but then I remembered I have to do a maths course next year! :frown:

Thanks:smile: , but i cant see that at the moment!

How did you find the paper?

I did OCR MEI, but that was a crap paper as well. Quite a few of the questions were "show that..." and I managed those ones OK, but there was the worst parametrics question I have ever seen towards the end, so I lost a load of marks there...

There was also a vector question that I knew I could do, I just couldn't remember the right method, argh...

I know what you mean, there were some questions that i know i've done before and i still couldnt do them. Also i missed some simple marks- like rates of change question, you had to differentiate surface area of a cube, and i forgot what the surface area of a cube was ! (thats year 9 stuff  )

Oh well its over now..

Don't worry Nooni - June 05 had 52/75 for an A, this might well be similar
C4 was really hard... but surely that means the UMS grade boundaries will move up doesn't it? Say on an easy exam you might need 83% for UMS A, on this it might be 75%, for example. Is that right?

I need 124/200 for A, stats went really well (prob 75 at least), so hopefully i only need 45-50 for c4... i've gone through after and think i've prob got 60-65% ish, so shud b ok. c3 was a piece of piss though, so i knew c4 would be hard.

should have been a r sin (0-a) question...
C4 seems to have ruffled a few feathers! I thought it was OK (not good, but OK). Most people at school hated it, so don't worry. I'm sure everyone did better than they thought though.
Have I killed the conversation? Sorry...
So, um.. anyone doing anything interesting that is not exam-related?!
:bebored:

Anyone do Salters Physics today?
My exams are over next week, after that i can do non-exam related things, and talk about non-exam related things!
Anyway, anyone going away this summer?
