Lol! I saw the mortal combat one a while ago, hahaha.

Well, we got a lovely visit from the police today about driving safely. *Is scarred for life from all the gruesome videos they showed us* I'm never going to drive, too clumsy!

Have you seen the DVLA advert about watching out for motorbikes at junctions?

I have my driving test in 2 weeks aswell :frown:

we had a driving instructor that came in and told us that 'driving is so easy that even us women can do it... we should learn to drive so we dont have to rely on our boyfriends to take us places'
we loved her...

I dont think so :s they showed us all these ones used in Northern Ireland that they're not allowed to show in Scotland - shocking, but effective. However, I think the genuine police footage of a boy being run over was a bit much. I think I'll just dig my way from place to place now, to avoid roads.

noooni - you should just have told her you were a lesbian!

New Hall... but I was pooled from Corpus, only found out I got a place twelve days ago.

perdition
Yaay! Mine came up on February 3rd, it finally seems real  Unfortunately that means it has also just hit me that I need A's... argh :p:

I know what you mean about it seeming more real now - I want to start celebrating all over again! Except I have no time to celebrate with all the work needed to get my A's

Wow I should think you still feel like celebrating from the initial offer if it's only been 12 days! It took 2 weeks for me to come off my high hehe! oo you're another Englishy person aren't you??

ha work is bad - I reckon the offer letter should tell us to relax, go out, enjoy ourselves and give A levels a miss. Might be asking too much though. Don't mind exams, it's the coursework that kills me!

It really does hit you again, properly, when it comes up on track though!

Yup I'm another Englishy person  Still on the high I suppose, I keep randomly smiling and reading my letter  Can't wait for the Offerholders' Day - I guess I'll see you there Pink Sparkles! Glad your offer's come on track too.

I don't mind exams so much either, right now it's the lessons that are boring me... Our history teacher started us on a new topic a week ago and she's already given us an exam paper to do, despite the fact we know nothing about the subject

Half term holiday starts on Friday though  And I might be getting a car

My offer finally came on track too! (did I say that in my last post? I don't remember).

I can't WAIT till half term! My dad bought loads of DVDs, many of which I want to watch v.v.v. much.

I saw 'Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights' the other day. I must admit, I cried my eyes out at the end. Good romance rests almost entirely on the shoulders of the romantic hero. The heroine is just a placeholder really (although she can rescue a slightly weak hero). Anyway, Diego Luna is one FABULOUS hero. He's not the most beautiful, but he's so unbelievably sweet and adorable. And a great dancer! Romola Garai's american accent was annoying, but Diego Lunnaaa..... yeah, I got a new obsession. I list my obsessions (fixations on males, real or otherwise) on my graphical calculator in bright red pen. Teachers tell us to name our calculators.. mine has about 20 names on it!

This is what he looks like. Anyway, asides from the Latino hotness, he's just so amazingly adorable. I watched 'Save the Last Dance' today, and it completely underwhelmed me. Julia Stiles always comes across as quite bitchy to me, and slightly cold. And Sean Patrick Thomas didn't convince.

Diego Luna though.... one thing I really liked about the movie was that when the characters spoke in Spanish to each other there were no subtitles. You had to guess what they were saying.

Am gonna re-watch that movie soon.

yeah but you can't always trust imdb... it places "surf nazi's must die" in the worst 100 films ever made? how!
Yeah I have to admit I thought the second was crap. The first is excellent though

Yay  (Englishy people are the best ) My letter disintegrated because I made the mistake of balancing it on the side of the bath!! oops

Eurgh I haven't been to lessons for 3 days, it's been great - apart from the illness and exhaustion of course. I should really drag myself to law this afternoon :bawling: That sounds just like my teacher, giving us a ton of questions when nobody understands/has been taught the topic yet.

oo sounds exciting  I love half term... Legitimate absences

calm down bruvs, was only joking!

"surf nazi's must die" is awful for the record, although the title deserves an academy award...so powerful!

College applied to: Clare
Course:Veterinary Medicine
Conditions:AAA (Biology, Chemistry, Maths)
Deferred entry?No
Nationality:British
Where are you living right now:Warwickshire
A few details about yourself:I'm Lucy (you might have guessed), 18, can't WAIT to go to uni! I've got 2 sisters living in Bath + Bristol so I decided to apply to more northern universities (except for Cambridge) for a change. Most of all on top of everything I REALLY want to be a vet! So I was made up when I got my offer from Cambridge- still waiting for my first choice (Edinburgh) to reply after my interview.
This is really gay
