Wakey wakey everyone!

Were the IB results really that bad? :frown:

hmmm . . .

:bebored:

I'm soooo bored!

And it's still over a month to go!
I know one of my friends holding a place for Cambridge (music) got in and one of the (economics) missed his offer by one point. But I don't know what points they did get...

Yes, I am wondering though. Where are all the other IBers?
I am a bit confused about the IB though - I thought it was only people in mainland Europe who did it? And someone said they did one IB and the rest A levels. How does that work?
Stupid IB results- made me have yet another results day dream. Theyr getting worse and worse now.

I'm glad I'm not having any results dreams. A friend of mine was telling me about his: all of our group of friends missed their offer except for two of us (me  and another).
Haven't been having any more results day dreams since the Night of the 3 Results Day Dreams, but have been dreaming about escaping through windows of various rooms, and out of train windows. No idea who I'm escaping from though!
Its not missing my offer than annoys me in these dreams, its not being able to get to a phone, or i keep dialing the wrong number for hours until its too late and all the places have been taken (i know thats not how it actualy works). Last nights one i got a letter from Camb on results day but when i opened it i couldnt read the first line because it was all blured. Spent the whooole dream trying to find out if i got in.

I need to start thinking about something else, i need good dreams!
Try dreaming about escaping through the window of a high speed train!

In one of my RD dreams, I couldn't read the grades on the paper, but I think they gave me a B in F.Maths. And then they lost my German and Computing results. Stupid school! So I didn't get to the phone cos I was waiting for my other results!
I always get A B C in my dreams:frown:
I had really bad dreams about my Maths GCSE before I took it though and I never figured out why - I hadn't realised at that point how much I love Maths, and I didn't care about my GCSEs anyway - they're all easy right! (wrong - hence that B in English Lit!), and also exams are what I do - I'm the exam girl!

But yeah, I had this really bad dream where I didn't have the right equipment, and my Maths teacher was there and I think she might have yelled at me, then she turned into Prof Snape and suddenly I was in Hogwarts . . . It was freaky. :frown:
Hey - I'm no longer a new member!

yay! That was quick if you only joined last month- yay:biggrin:

I took:wink: English Literature, Maths and Biology. I wish i didnt do maths or biology but my school didnt offer much i liked and i had really high GCSE marks in them so went for it-then regretted it for two years. How bout you? Have you applied to do maths?

Yeah I only joined about a week ago - I was desperate to lose the New Member tag!

I did Maths, F.Maths, German and Computing.

I was originally going to do Maths, History, IT and German, but my Head of sixth conned me into doing F.Maths (he desperately wanted a F.Maths class for some reason!), so that ruled out History, then he persuaded me to change my IT to Computing, which I am so glad I did.

A couple of months in I realised how much I LOVE MATHS(!) and decided to apply for Maths at Uni, and my Head of Sixth (he's very persuasive, but I have to admit he knows what he's doing!) persuaded me to apply to Cambridge.
ah, so you just finished AS year?

Having left school the only thing that saddens me is knowing for sure that I will never be asked to join Hogwarts....that window is gone...

I know the following really should be in H&R, but everyone on this thread is so nice and knowledgable that im sure you'll be more help! Esp since quite a few of you are medics

Basically, i havent been well for about 3 or so months, and ive lost 2 stone since then. (this next part is gross - sorry!) im going to the toilet at least 10 times a day, with bloody and mucusy diahorrea, and have stomach pains throughout the day. Ive been reffered to a specialist at the end of this month, but what really worries me is the weight loss, because im very weak atm, and its preventing me from having fun! So does anyone have any ideas as to how i can put the weight back on? Because eating is so painful atm that i cant eat more than half my usual serving

Dont.ever.say.that.again! :bawling:
Uz - dude! :frown: Sorry about your illness but I have no idea how to help, sorry. Although my appetite has recently decreased although no weight loss :frown: - and I was the girl who ate 3 portions of fish and chips! (Don't judge me - they were going to get thrown away otherwise!)

I know! I was convinced (sort of) I would get asked to go to Hogwarts! Even when I started Year 7 I thought maybe there was a mistake, and they would take me out of my comp and to Hogwarts!
