Yea thanks im feeling alot better, still on medication for a few more weeks, but have my check up this monday, so they should be able to tell me then exactly what is wrong with me!

yesterday I played my first footy match since falling ill, was so shocked at how unfit i have become! not to mention how sore i felt this morning!

On the plus side, Whitgift SNAP starts this monday for two weeks! It's basically a volunteer scheme for looking after young people with disabilities, we take them out places like the london eye etc and do many activities with them. The idea is that it gives their carers two weeks off form looking after them. I did it last year, and had a great time! As you can tell im raeally looking forward to it!
Aired: it was funsies! Did a lot of touristy stuff (including playing £30 to get into the dungeons, having a hissy fit in the queue and running out screaming, but I don't think they mention that in the guidebooks ) and generally had a laugh. The only downside was that it was really sticky though!

Glad you're doing better uz, that volunteer scheme sounds really fun!

Did you go anywhere else in London, friendlyneutron? How long where you there for? There's sooo much to see! reason im asking is because after SNAP im meeting up with this girl i met at selwyn college interviews (she lives in oxford) for two days - spending one day at oxford and one day down here in smelly old london! And, well, we've sorted out what we'd like to do in oxford, but there's too much choice in london, if you catch my drift.... so just wondering if theres anything you would recommend!

Its all the same stuff johnstuartmill recommended before.
I say go on the London Eye if you want to do something not too touristy, but not in the morning cos you'll melt and its nicer during the evening anyway

I was there for 2 nights and 3 days and we mainly did cheesy touristy stuff and shopping/drinking. I'm not really the best person to ask as I don't know it that well, I think there are a few people from in and around london here that could probably point you to good things to do if you're only there for a day! But it seems like there's something for every interest so you won't be stuck for anything to do!
