Yes, but i havnt felt the effect of lactic acid since i was 14 probably....so cant really say much about the pain:biggrin: :p:

Seriously, that sucks. I am sure that there is something in the European Social Chapter about this. Tell them they are in breach of European employment law and must pay you more (and that you know this as you are going to Cambridge) and if they don't do so then you will report them to the EU. European law is so complicated they'll have no way of knowing if it is true or not! Chances are the European courts wouldn't even know.
